In a code-share agreement with Dutch carrier KLM, Delta Airlines will pick US-bound passengers from Amsterdam and flying them to New York, Boston and Houston as KLM handles the Entebbe Amsterdam route.

“Travelling great distance can be tiresome, but with new features fitted in the business and economy compartments of our planes, which is designed for comfort and relaxation of passengers, we offer a truly unique travel experience,” said Mustafa Rajani, the country manager.

Delta Air Lines flying to more than 350 destinations in nearly 70 countries on six continents, serves more than 160 million customers each year.

The airline last week also opened its first booking office at the Uganda Manufacturers Association Showgrounds in Lugogo near Kampala.

“We are delighted to be opening a ticket office in Kampala, highlighting our commitment to offering the best service for Delta customers in East Africa,” Jimmy Eichelgruen, the regional director, said in a statement.

The office will serve the carrier’s regional customers from Uganda, Rwanda, Eastern DRC, Southern Sudan and Burundi.
