Pensioners visa NEW
by: Anonymous

In March of this year (2016) we were advised by Internal Affairs Legal section, to apply for a Pensioners Visa having lived in Uganda for six & half years on a missionary visa. The Pensioners visa was approved by the Visa section on 31 March & payment of $750 was paid. The commisioner asked us for additional info before he would stamp our passports. As we did not have the said info here in Uganda with us my wife & I returned to the UK to obtain this info. On our return we were told that the Pensioners visa was no longer available, so we would have to obtain a missionary visa instead. Two problems (1) We no longer wish to do any form of work, our ages 72 & 70 (2) the bishop will no longer support our application as missionaries. Question: how do we get a visa enableing us to retire & live in Uganda?

pensioner permit.
by: David Crossley

Dear Sir/Madam, I have compiled a file according to your site requirements, for a pensioners permit.Today,I showed the file to one of your employees at Ministry of Internal Affairs, Visa Department. The only item missing was a form for Application for Pensioner's Permit. I was given a form for Application for Class G1. When I pointed out that this was not what I needed, and was also contrary to advice learned earlier from the Ministry,I was told that the form was the same, and I should fill in the section for 'Volunteers'. This person did not read the file thoroughly and simply gave it a cursory examination. I was less than impressed. However, my main concern now is: does the application form for Pensioner's Permit exist? I am unable to continue the application without knowing this. Yours sincerely, David Crossley.
