How to Make Organic Vanilla Pudding
Recipe for Organic Vanilla Pudding
Yield: 8 1/2 cups.
1 1/4 cups Wholesome! Organic Sucanat
4 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp salt
4 cups organic milk
2 cage-free organic eggs, beaten or replacement
2 cage-free organic egg yolks, beaten or replacement
4 tbsp organic butter
4 tsp organic vanilla
In a heavy saucepan, combine Sucanat, cornstarch and salt.
Stir in milk over medium heat, cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
Stir 2 minutes more. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in 1-2 cups of the hot mixture into eggs and yolk.
Return all the mixture to the pan. Cook and stir 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla until the butter melts.
Place clear wrap directly onto pudding and cover pan with another sheet of clear wrap. Chill without stirring.
