Non Tax Revenues Collected by URA

Tax Question
Explain the non-tax revenue collected by URA

Answer
Well, these are not taxes per say but rather Non-Tax Revenues (NTR). NTRs refer to duties, fees, and levies that are charged by Government for the provision of specific services and penalties for specified offences. Non-Tax Revenues (NTR) are imposed by specific Acts of Parliament and administered by ministries and other government departments.

One of the commonest NTR I can think of is the fees paid to URA when processing driving permits and when paying traffic offences.
