Answer:
Find a secure but busy location within Kampala, Uganda's capital city, preferably in a Hotel shopping mall or
big secure mall like , Garden City, Nakummat Oasis, or Acacia Mall.

Simultaneously as you secure a location, you need to incorporate a business entity you will be
operating in e.g. Sole Proprietorship, Limited Liability Company or Partnership.

Dealing in jewelry normally also requires dealing in precious metals and germ stones, and as such you may have to apply for a Mineral dealer's
license from the Ministry of Energy an Mineral Development (MOEMD), department of geology.

Because you're operating your business in Kampala, you will need to secure a Trading License from the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

You will use your company incorporation documentation to apply for all the Permits.

Since you're likely to be importing & Exporting some items in your business, you will have to apply for an Export License.

Getting a Tax Identification number (TIN) will be mandatory for you and your business.

Since you're Kenyan, and Kenya is part of the East African Community, you're likely not to require application for a Work Permit.
