Taxation on volunteers

Question:
How long can a person volunteer for?

If a volunteer is paid or facilitated say with food or transportation but this is paid as a lump sum at the end of the month, is it taxed?

Answer:
A person is allowed to volunteer for only 6 months and after that they are either employed or let to go.

It is only taxed if total is more than the threshold of the income brackets 235000/=.
