Question: What is the role of local hotel tax in Uganda?

Answer: The government of Uganda proposed the local hotel tax as one of the ways to help Local Governments (Districts) raise revenue after they lost money they used to get from graduated tax.

Graduated tax was abolished in Uganda because it was levied on people regardless of their income.
