The week of trading opened with a turnover of Ug shs423m with over 95% attributed to Stanbic Bank. This rise in turnover for Stanbic Bank follows weeks of slumps in the traded value. The turnover of over Ug shs420m was yielded from 3,001,000 values traded at a share price of Ug shs140.

Bank of Baroda traded 7000 shares at an average price of Ug shs290 per share, yielding a turnover of Ug shs2m.
DFCU bank yielded a turnover of Ug shs1.2m from 1,274 traded volumes at an average price of Ug shs1,005 per share.

Uganda Clays traded 8,295 shares at an average price of Ug shs55 per share registering a turnover of Ug shs456,225.

Stanbic Bank retained its dominant market position of trading, yielding Ug shs309m in turnover on Tuesday. There were 2,132,993 shares traded at an average price of Ug shs145 per share.

Bank of Baroda recorded Ug shs11.6m from 40,000 shares at an average price of Ug shs290 per share.
Uganda Clays turnover rose to Ug shs6.9m from Ug shs456,225 while traded volumes also rose to 127,070 from 8,295 shares at an average price of Ug shs55.
DFCU bank volumes fell to 153 shares from 1,274 shares while turnover also dropped to Ug shs153,765 from Ug shs1.2m.

The third day registered a slump in total market turnover to Ug shs50.3m from Ug shs327.8m and saw Bank of Baroda dominating the market with a turnover of Ug shs21.6m from 75,000 shares traded at an average price of Ug shs288 per share.

Stanbic Bank’s traded value slumped to Ug shs16.9m from Ug shs309m while the shares traded also declined to 116,880 from 2.3 million shares at an average price of Ug shs145 per share.

Uganda Clays posted Ug shs11.2m from 204,014 shares at an average price of Ug shs55 per share marking an increase in turnover and volumes traded.

DFCU bank’s turnover rose to Ug shs292,455 from Ug shs153,765 while traded volumes increased to 291 shares from 153 shares.

The market further slumped as it went into the fourth day of trading. The total market turnover declined to Ug shs9.8m from Ug shs50.3m and the volumes traded also declined to 58,910 shares from 396,487 shares.

DFCU bank registered a rise in both shares traded and turnover: shares rose to 6,250 shares from 291 shares and turnover to Ug shs6.2m from Ug shs292,455. The share price averaged at Ug shs1,005 per share.

Uganda Clays trailed second posting a turnover of Ug shs2.6m from 47,937 shares traded at an average price of Ug shs55 per share.

Stanbic Bank registered a further slump in turnover and shares traded. The turnover further declined to Ug shs495,000 from Ug shs16.9m while shares traded also dropped to 3,300 shares from 116,880 shares. The average share price was Ug shs150.

Bank of Baroda volumes fell to 1,423 shares from 75,000 shares. Turnover slumped to Ug shs412,670 from Ug shs21.6m.

Closing day saw only two companies trading and registered an increase in turnover and shares traded.
There were 62,548 shares traded at an average price of Ug shs145 per share. The bank also registered a rise in turnover to Ug shs9m from Ug shs495,000.

Bank of Baroda registered an increase in shares traded to 14,705 shares from 1,420 shares while turnover also rose to Ug shs4.2m from Ug shs412,670. The average share price remained at Ug shs290.
