How to Mix my Piggery Feeds

by Wanjala

Question:
I HAVE MAIZE BRAND,SOYA BEAN, MAIZE AND DRIED LEGUME
LEAVES, HOW DO I MIX A RATION FOR MY PIGS TO REMAIN HEALTHY AND GROW WELL.

WHAT OTHER FEEDS SHOULD I ADD TO MAXIMIZE PRODUCTIVITY AND TIME ?

Answer:
Hello Wanjala,
Thanks for contacting africa-uganda-business-travel-guide.com. The good combination for the pigs should have the following percentages.

Maize Brand :70%
Fish Meal :10.5%
Cotton seed cake :14%
Lake shells : 3.5%
Bone Ash : 0.7%
Salt : 0.4%
Vitamin Mineral mix : 0.4%
Total 100%

In your case, We suggest that you mix as follows with what you have.
Maize Brand : 62%
Maize : 8%
Soya : 25%
Dried Legumes: 4%
Salt : 1%

Total 100%

Hope that gives you a guideline of how you can mix your feeds. But you should try as much as possible to include the missing items.

Thanks and with kind regards

Susan

Difference Btn Maize Brand And Maize
by: Onesimus

What Is The Difference?

Answer:
Maize brand in Uganda typically refers to the remaining potion of the Maize grain after milling the maize grains and the Maize flour taken out.

On the other hand Maize in this regard would mean the maize grains.
