The main road from Kampala continues through the town south to the border with Rwanda at Gatuna, 10 km away. Another road from this Town continues westwards to Kisoro, where travelers may continue to either the Democratic Republic of the Congo or the Rwandan town of Ruhengeri.

LAKE BUNYONYI
A Cater lake in the Western Riftvalley located only 7 kilometers from Kabale Town, the Lake Bunyonyi is thought to be the second deepest lake in Africa. Bunyonyi actually means the place of many little birds and you will truly find over 200 bird spicies on this lake. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming - there is no bilharzia.
